Autohome Inc. has announced its unaudited financial results for the third quarter of 2026, revealing a significant decline in both revenues and net income. The company, a leading online destination for automobile consumers in China, reported net revenues of RMB1,315.0 million (approximately US$196.1 million), down from RMB1,778.1 million in the same period last year. This decline reflects ongoing challenges in the online automobile market, primarily due to reduced advertising spending from automakers amid declining sales volumes.

Additionally, net income attributable to Autohome was RMB195.0 million (US$29.1 million), compared to RMB436.6 million in the corresponding period of 2025. The adjusted net income, which excludes certain items, also fell to RMB252.7 million (US$37.7 million), down from RMB406.9 million year-over-year.

Despite these financial challenges, Autohome's Board of Directors has approved a cash dividend of US$1.58 per American depositary share (ADS), payable to shareholders of record as of January 5, 2027. This dividend is part of the company's ongoing commitment to return value to its shareholders, with total cash dividends declared for the year expected to reach approximately RMB1.5 billion.

Chi Liu, Chairman and CEO of Autohome, noted that the company is making progress in upgrading its services and expanding its user base. He stated, “In the third quarter, we made solid progress in upgrading toward a comprehensive automotive service ecosystem, with our innovative business developing steadily.” Liu emphasized the importance of enhancing user engagement and expanding the company’s service network.

Autohome's revenues from media services were RMB241.4 million (US$36.0 million), a decrease from RMB298.0 million in the prior year, primarily due to lower advertising budgets from automakers. Revenues from leads generation services also fell to RMB526.2 million (US$78.5 million), down from RMB663.7 million, reflecting reduced spending from dealers.

Furthermore, revenues from the online marketplace and other services dropped to RMB547.3 million (US$81.6 million) from RMB816.4 million, largely due to decreased revenue associated with the company’s vehicle sales business.

As of September 30, 2026, Autohome reported cash and cash equivalents totaling RMB17.65 billion (US$2.63 billion). The company has also been active in share repurchase efforts, having repurchased over 7 million ADSs for approximately US$155.4 million as part of a US$400 million repurchase program authorized by the Board.

Looking ahead, Autohome aims to continue investing in strategic priorities that reinforce its competitive position in the market. The company will host an earnings conference call to discuss these results in further detail.
