Stellantis N.V. has made significant leadership changes, appointing Pablo Di Si as the new Chief Operating Officer for North America and American Brands, effective immediately. This strategic move is expected to bolster the company's operations in a critical market, enhancing its ability to execute its FaSTLAne 2030 strategy.
Di Si will join the Stellantis Leadership Team and report directly to CEO Antonio Filosa. He takes over the North American operations from Filosa, who had been overseeing the region while managing his CEO responsibilities. Under Filosa's interim leadership, the North America team improved manufacturing efficiency, restored customer choice, and rebuilt market momentum.
“North America is critical to Stellantis’ success and the delivery of our FaSTLAne 2030 strategy,” said Filosa. “Pablo is a proven leader who deeply understands the North America market, our business, and the importance of disciplined execution.”
Di Si brings over 25 years of experience in finance, business development, and operations, having previously led Volkswagen's businesses in North and South America and held various leadership roles at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). Most recently, he served as Stellantis Chief Performance Officer, where he worked to enhance performance and competitiveness globally.
“I’m honored and energized to lead a team that has already done so much to turn around this critical business for our Company,” Di Si stated. “We will build from a solid foundation, based on strong execution and relentless focus on our customers across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.”
In addition to Di Si's appointment, Stellantis announced further leadership changes. Jon Nelson has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer for North America, succeeding Joao Laranjo, who will continue as Stellantis CFO. Nelson brings extensive experience in automotive finance, having held senior leadership roles at Stellantis, FCA, and PwC.
Gustavo Soloaga has been appointed as Chief Performance Officer, leading the Value Creation Program globally and reporting to CFO Joao Laranjo. Soloaga has over 30 years of senior finance leadership experience, having led strategic initiatives at Groupe PSA and Stellantis.
Alexandre Sorel will take over as CEO of Stellantis Financial Services, while maintaining his role as head of Financial Services for Europe. Sorel has over 30 years of automotive finance experience, including senior roles at Groupe PSA and CEO of Opel Vauxhall Finance.
These leadership changes come at a pivotal time for Stellantis as it seeks to strengthen its position in the competitive automotive market. The company, which operates under the SIC classification of Motor Vehicles & Passenger Car Bodies, is focused on enhancing its operational efficiency and market responsiveness.
Details regarding future filings or specific next steps were not disclosed in the recent filing. However, the industry will be keenly observing how these changes affect Stellantis' performance and market strategy moving forward.
